Amara grew up in Larabanga, Savannah Region where he was sometimes escorted to school by elephants and baboons from nearby Mole National Park.

At his family’s lodge as a young adult, he welcomed tourists volunteering with the local elementary school primarily as a tour guide offering outdoor excursions such as hiking and camping.

After college, he spent his adulthood alternating between northern Ghana and Accra, and decided to move to Accra permanently two years before the “Year of Return” in 2019 to start his own tourism company. Since then, Amara has developed his knowledge of Ghana from Western Region to Wli Falls, as well as a network of contacts to be able to offer you both quintessential and unique experiences from across Ghana.
